Version 5.04.27092600.01

Full Changelog

  • [NEW] The D&D 5e character sheet is live, in beta. Create a D&D 5e campaign and build a character on it. Opening a character shows a one-time beta notice: expect rough edges, and report anything broken to Wam on Discord.
  • [NEW] D&D 5e character builder: species, class, subclass, background, ability scores, proficiencies, starting equipment and spells, with a Rulebook panel that shows the real entry for whatever you are hovering.
  • [NEW] D&D 5e level-up: hit points by roll or average, ability score increases and feats, subclass unlocks, new features, and any choices those bring with them.
  • [NEW] D&D 5e content: Player's Handbook (2014 and 2024), Dungeon Master's Guide (2014 and 2024), Xanathar's Guide to Everything, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, Volo's Guide to Monsters, Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes, Monsters of the Multiverse, Fizban's Treasury of Dragons, Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide, Elemental Evil, Eberron, Theros, Ravnica, Wildemount (with the Blood Hunter), Strixhaven, Valda's Spire of Secrets, The Crooked Moon, The Book of Many Things, and the Telorn campaign setting.
  • [NEW] Restricted content for D&D 5e: setting-locked options, such as Chronurgy and Graviturgy Magic, stay unavailable in the builder until a GM unlocks them for the campaign.
  • [NEW] Wam's Training: earn points toward a skill, tool or language and cross real thresholds into proficiency and expertise, with prestige when a track is finished.
  • [NEW] Wam's Gems: sockets on magic items, gems that slot into them, and the effects that come with them.
  • [NEW] Scaling feats: a feat that climbs its own ten-rung ladder as your character levels, with branching paths, prompted at level-up.
  • [REWORKED] Signal Deck across the D&D sheet: the inventory ledger, the Spells tab, the Features tab, the Actions cards, the Tools tab and the Resources panel.
  • [REWORKED] Opening an item now reads top to bottom, with its description running the full width and its attunement, charges and storage underneath. Customize is grouped into bands instead of one wall of fields.
  • [REWORKED] Item tags say what an item is. Charge counts, activations, save DCs and effects the description already covers no longer clutter the row.
  • [FIXED] A wizard's unprepared rituals stay on the spell list, marked as rituals, and cast without a spell slot.
  • [FIXED] The D&D character sheet is substantially faster to use: clicking a skill, a save or a toggle no longer stalls for a second first.
  • [REWORKED] Redesigned the Campaign Hub, Home, Campaigns, Characters, and Game Masters pages with a new, consistent interface.
  • [NEW] App-wide themes: pick a theme from the new Settings menu (the gear in the top bar) and it applies across the whole site, not just character sheets.
  • [NEW] Character Vault: build characters ahead of any campaign. A GM can assign one to a campaign, or open a slot for you to fill from your vault.
  • [NEW] Campaigns page: the sidebar's Campaigns link now opens a list of every campaign you play in or run.
  • [REWORKED] Bounty date options now work as availability. Each option shows how many players can make it, the date most players can make is highlighted, and Next Session follows that date.
  • [NEW] GMs can edit a bounty right inside its card.
  • [NEW] Campaign logos can be uploaded from Campaign Settings, just like banners.
  • [NEW] The Characters page groups characters by campaign and shows which bounty each one is signed up for.
  • [NEW] Delete your own Character Vault characters right from the Characters page.
  • [NEW] Campaign cards and the Campaign Hub show the GM's actual name instead of a generic label, so it means something to everyone else on the roster too.
  • [NEW] Open a character sheet and it stays with you as a closable tab in the top bar while you browse the rest of the site, so you can jump straight back to it without reopening it from scratch.
  • [NEW] Character sheets now default to your site-wide theme instead of ignoring it, with a smooth transition whenever you change themes anywhere on the site.
  • [REWORKED] The character sheet's top bar and sidebar now match the rest of the site exactly, down to the pixel.
  • [REWORKED] Character sheets load noticeably faster, especially when you're reopening one you already had open.
